Region of Terror

"Regions of sorrow, doleful shades/Where hope never comes, that come to all." Such is the condition of our country where looming shadows of fear and uncertainty are always casting upon us. No moment goes when fear doesn't reside with us. This became all the more intense when a horrid incident took place in Sialkot where Priyantha Kumara, a general manager in a factory for some years, became victim of the brutal and inhuman treatment of the inflamed mob.

-He was accused of having committed blasphemy against the Holy Quran or the Prophet (PBUH). No concrete evidence, however, has been brought in to validitify their accusation. No sooner had anyone declared him as being blasphemous, than, as most of the time happens, the inflamed and furious mob pounced upon him, beat him with sticks and set his corpse on fire so as to send him to hell he was bound to go into, after all!

-The more perturbing and depressing is the sight as to how to institutions concerned such as law enforcing agencies, have "paralysed forces" before such extremism. For sure, the state had lost its writ or it's deliberately bent upon pushing our country into a hellhole. Whatever, it is ominous of something worse to happen.

-This unfortunately deluged land has a disgusting history when the ruling elite has been creator of such an elemental creation to use them for their strategic objectives. Once used, they are sought to be put into the background which happens, but seldom or never. The very non-state actors who do have an ideology continue to become a living threat to the very forces which feed them. Just as the ghost is prepared by Victor Frankenstien and then becomes a threat to himself and his family, so is the case with such non-state actors.

--Islam means peace by submitting to Allah Almighty . Even if someone has committed blasphemy, they should be trialed in the law court. No individual has the right to kill anyone except in some certain conditions. Extrajudicial killing has far-reaching consequences. If this fire of extremism isn't blown out by the state, spreading in no time it will burn everything away.
